Meet the author

Jason Hedges is a New York based beverage professional with over 15 years of experience developing and running New York’s finest Michelin-rated beverage programs, such as Gotham Bar and Grill, Aldea and L’ Ecole — he is currently Director of Beverage at LT Hospitality’s L’amico, The Vine, Skirt Steak and Second and consults worldwide at Pure Grey, where he heads up their global operations beverage division. Jason is also a founding partner at Bar IQ, a full service beverage consulting firm. 

His approach is straight forward - freshest ingredients and high quality spirits with a perfectionist tendency towards balance. Creativity and innovation begin first with understanding the fundamentals. He has taught at the International Culinary Center on wine, distilled spirits and mixology and sits on the judges panel for both wine and spirits/cocktails for the industry leading Ultimate Beverage Challenge and is a Court of Master Sommeliers Certified Sommelier.


Jason is connected with many wine/spirit-makers and is continually exploring and testing new products. He is also involved with the NYC greenmarket and regularly explores local ingredients at markets around the country. Last but not least, Jason loves being a host, serving, making, sharing, and conversing. Cheers!
